Comfort Object #1 was an installation at Random Access Gallery Space with Amanda Struver. The exhibition contrasted the intimacy of memory with the cold distance of disappointed expectations. This piece explores the relationship between the intimacy of a cherished memory, with the reality of the effects of time. Allowed to rot for two weeks, the fruit breaking down and introducing an acrid scent to what was once perfumed. The space itself changing with time, and its viewers’ engagements.
